At the Beach area camp, the road circle around the showers with the camping spots on the outside. The grassy area you see is full of burrs, and there's a shell path up to the showers, both of which are hard on bare feet.
Here's a typical camping spot. I had no problem getting a 33' motorhome backed in with room to park a toad in front. You get water and electricity, there's a dump station at the entrance to the camp.
There are sand dunes between the camp and the Atlantic.
But stick to the boardwalks when walking out to the beach. The grasses on the dunes play an important part in preventing beach erosion.
