Features:
Avalon features more than a mile undeveloped beachfront. Wildlife like various types of endangered sea turtles rest and nest here. But not only shouldn't you bother them, you can be arrested for it.

Boardwalk protects plants and wildlife so swimmers, snorkelers, and sunbathers can have access to the beach.

Swimmers and snorkelers are advised to be cautious of underwater obstacles left behind by amphibious warfare exercises during World War II.
